What is an Audiologist?
An audiologist is a healthcare professional who evaluates and treats hearing loss, balance and related disorders; conducts and administers hearing screening programs; recommends and provides appropriate technology, which includes hearing instruments and assistive listening devices; and provides audiologic rehabilitation and hearing conservation programs.

Qualified Audiologists Have:

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• State licensure, which is required in Texas
